When you shop for lights for your home, do you pay attention to the colour temperature of the light bulb? K (Kelvins) is the unit for colour temperature. Colour temperatures above 5000K are known as cool colours while colour temperatures between 2700K to 3000K are known as warm colours.
A common way to decide which colour temperature to use is by considering the light's purpose. Is it to light a relaxing corner? A study room? What colour temperature bulb will suit the use of the space?
There are 2 photos here, one lit by a 2700K LED bulb and the other by a 6700K compact fluorescent bulb. Does the black origami furniture feel different in the 2 pictures? Which is which? Comment down below and we will let you know if you are right!
Throughout A Light Journey, two main light temperatures were used. They were an overhead projector with a tungsten bulb (2700K) and white light LED torches (5000K). Watch our film to see the effect of the temperature of lights and the different feellings it evokes.
